This Conservative Resources Links Page provides links to news resources that are truthful. Orson Scott Card's October 9, 2008 article "Would the Last Honest Reporter Please Turn On the Lights?" that originally appeared in the October 23, 2008 edition of the Greensboro Rhinoceros Times (http://greensboro.rhinotimes.com/orson.10.09.08.html or http://www.linearpublishing.com/orsonscottcard.html) said it best: "Your job, as journalists, is to tell the truth. That's what you claim you do, when you accept people's money to buy or subscribe to your paper." This was Mr. Card's "...open letter to the local daily paper -- almost every local daily paper in America" complaining about how journalism in the U.S. no longer reports on important stories or makes any effort to report the truth (all the facts) when they do.
The traditional old news sources—mainstream media—we have relied on for so many years are now engaging in synchronicity. News reporting by "journalists" of various news entities should be independent from one another. This is one way the truth of a story surfaces. They clearly are not independent when journalists from these supposedly "independent" and competitive companies all use precisely the same key words or phrases in their daily reporting of news events. This cannot be a coincidence. It is as if they are being orchistrated by a single conductor. Who is the conductor? Those of us who were educated in the 50's and 60's know what propaganda is. The techniques of propaganda can now be seen in most U.S. journalism: Today, it's more important to note what is not being reported than what is. It appears that news reporting has taken on the roll of consciously attempting to influence public opinion toward the Liberal side of all major issues. Honest and complete news reporting by the mainstream news media in the United States is dead. Below is a collection of links to alternate news and information resources that consistently appear to provide more trustworthy coverage of all news events.
